Join Derrick Hammond & 20/20 Vizion Entertainment in conjunction with PhilaFilm, RPIC & Urban Socialite at the official after party for the release of films he was the Co-Producer & Co-Director for; Angels All Around Me & Executive Producer & Director for Inside Pocket.   This purposeful party is also the grand finale celebration for the 35th Annual Philadelphia International Film Festival and Market.  All of this to help raise funds for Myositis; which is an inflammatory muscle disease that is in dire need of assistance.

First, producer/director Derrick Hammond; will be in the building with Stephen "Stix" Josey of MSJ Productions Film & Music.  Stephen was the Executive Producer, writer & Co-Director of Angels All Around Me.  They will be joined by friends and associates celebrating the success of both films.

Then we celebrate Philafilm as it hosts the region’s longest-running, international, Independent film and video competition and when it's all over on Saturday there isn't much left to do but celebrate in style.

In selecting a venue, we wanted to provide you with some level of outdoor networking and mingling but still give you a place to dance and enjoy the fruits of your labor this week.  Whether it be in the office, pounding the pavement or working to get your film career to the next level at the film festival.

That being said; we chose Marathon Grill & Patio Bar on the corner of 19th & Market St.  This location is best known for it's spacious patio bar that extends outside to the corner of 19th & Market St.  Join movie makers, producers, aspiring actors, actresses & many of Philadelphia urban professionals as they mingle & celebrate a successful week of showcasing their talents in their respective fields.

This event will feature light appetizers until around 11pm; along with relaxing light percussion and music by DJ Aktive.  As the night moves on we encourage you to continue to mingle outside but to not be afraid to join revelers on the spacious indoor dance floor as DJ Aktive turns it up to allow the celebration to begin.

PARTY WITH A PURPOSE: Urban Socialite is committed not only to social excellence but also excellence in the community and as we use this time to celebrate the Philadelpia International Film Festival we would also like our underlying purpose to benefit children suffering from MYOSITIS.  Our CEO, Mike Jackson will be participating in a charity basketball game on Saturday to help raise awareness and money for this disease.  Please visit www.iamfocused.org for more information about "P.U.S.H. for a Cure" and note that your attendance on Saturday night is another step towards helping our youth that suffer from this disease.
